LEONARDO CEDEÑO
Nació en Caracas el 23 de agosto de 1956,
dentro de una familia de músicos académicos. Así, logró convertirse
en músico de flauta traversa y ser profesor de música en diferentes
institutos en Venezuela. Trabajó en el montaje y dirección de la
Cantata Infantil Simón Bolívar de Rubén Cedeño, su hermano, donde
participaron 1200 voces de niños en edad preescolar. Dedicó su vida
a la actividad coral, interpretando obras de los grandes autores. En
1984 se viene a vivir a USA, donde vivía el resto de su familia, que
son ciudadanos estadounidenses nativos. En USA estudió en la
Vincennes University obteniendo el grado de BA (Bachelor of Arts).
Se casa en segundas nupcias con Beverly Hammond y tiene dos hijos,
Andrew y Carla, destacándose como excelente y amoroso padre. Se
residencia en Rohnert Park, California. Durante años trabaja como
dueño de un P.O. Box. Office y luego en empresas de correo.
Desencarna el 22 de diciembre del año 2010. He was born in Caracas on august 23rd, 1956, in an academic music family. He was an accomplished flute player and a music teacher in different institutions in Venezuela. He worked in the production and direction of the “Cantata Infantil Simón Bolívar” written by Rubén Cedeño, his brother, in which he directed 1200 voice children´s choir. He dedicated his life to coral music, performing scores of great composers. In 1984 he came to the United States, where he reunited with the American born side of his family. Later, he became an American Citizen. He obtained a BA in music at Vincennes University in Terra Haute, Indiana. He married Beverly Hammond, and had two children, Andrew and Carla, being an excellent, loving and caring father. He established in Rohnert Park, California, where he started his own mail business. He passed away in his home on December 22nd, 2010.
